Rare lynx saunters into Frelighsburg, Que. backyard
CBC.ca - Jun 3, 2016 A family in Frelighsburg, Que. had a very rare encounter with what appears to be a Canada lynx. Two weeks ago, Bridget Wayland looked out her window when she heard her cat growling. At first, she thought her cat was scuffling with another feline. Believing the animal to be a lynx, Wayland sent a photo to Appalachian Corridor, a local conservation organization. The organization's biologist, Clément Robidoux, saw the picture and said it appears to be a Canada lynx. Robidoux said the lynx probably poses no threat to any humans, noting he's never heard of a lynx attacking anyone in the area.
