When biologist Stefan Sobkowiak took over the orchard in St-Anicet in 1993, there were very few birds. He transformed his organic orchard with permaculture methods, seeking to create a symbiotic environment much like the forest. His Miracle Farms is one of the only permaculture orchards in eastern Canada.
